I hope you love Jill’s Mommy and Me session as much as I do. Taken at Kishwaukee Forest Preserve in Rockford Illinois.
I live near quite a few Forest Preserves. I love taking my kids for trail walks and enjoying the scenery. One of our local parks, Kishwaukee Forest Preserve has the most beautiful brick bridge with moss covering the top. I cannot contain myself whenever I go over it, envisioning a session. So FINALLY, I got the chance with my friend and fellow photographer Jill. It was everything I dreamed it to be. I am sure it helps with such a beautiful couple of models.
I was lucky enough again for Jill to have her gown from her client closet that she wore from Mii Estilo and I think this was a very dangerous game because now I want every gown off their website.
Both of us with little ones we talked about motherhood, all the beauty and challenges, and our children’s little quirks. We hung out by the bridge then made our way further down the park.
There is something magical about fall and the deep greens, golds, and fallen leaves. Their outfits were a perfect tone for the session with white and champagne tones.
When is the last time you had a Mommy and Me session? Not only is it a beautiful memory as a mother but I love when my children look at their photos with me. Make sure you have photos of yourself for your children to see.
After Jill’s session I started planning my own Mommy and Me session to have with each of my children. What a beautiful way to put those smiles into a time capsule. To see more of our work, visit my portfolio.
