Ezequiel Noah’s Lens Particpant
We have stopped focusing on Milestones and just celebrating each moment.
This isn’t a club I wanted to be part of. Sharing stories of the most scary moments of my child’s life or the club of open heart surgery for my son who could not even crawl yet. But today I felt I met this beautiful boy, who has a family part of the same club who was meant for me to photograph. I am so excited to share Ezequiel.
Ezequiel is 15 months old and came in with his parents as part of my Noah’s Lens project. He is the cutest little thing and may I say such a brave guy. I soon found out he and Noah (my son) were only days apart in birthdays, Ezequiel also has a g-tube and had a long stay in the hospital. Ezequiel’s stay was much longer than ours which made me even more happy and honored to provide his family with images to celebrate love and being home.
Ezequiel was in the hospital for 8 months with his family being transferred out of state for part of his medical care. This is also his first “official” Christmas home. We talked about our celebrations for the holidays and Rosa said they plan to have an easy going Christmas. Sometimes as a parent with a medically fragile child, the hardest thing to do is make plans. Because sometimes, well a lot of time those plans go out the window. I am sure every parent can relate to this. I am so thankful they let me document their family and the room felt nothing but kindness, hope and love. Also, Noah now has his first official best friend. So I would call it a good day:)
