Well Hello again!
Look, I get it: you’ve got a smartphone packed with filters and an extended arm that’s basically a selfie stick. So, you might wonder if investing in family photography is worth it. Well, let’s chat about why a professional photoshoot might just be the missing puzzle piece in your family album. Don’t worry you can still take all the photos on your iPhone, trust me I do the same:
Sure, you’ve snapped hundreds of pics of your kids with spaghetti sauce on their faces, but there’s something magical about professional family photos. A skilled photographer isn’t just clicking a button; they’re capturing genuine moments, real smiles, and the essence of your family’s quirks and charms. It’s like taking the “awww” factor of your smartphone pics and turning it up to 11.
Raise your hand if you’ve suffered from selfie arm strain! 🙋♀️ You know the feeling: trying to get everyone in the frame, while your arm turns into a noodle. With a professional photographer, you can relax and be part of the picture without your arm turning into a spaghetti noodle. Plus, no more accidental close-ups of your nostrils!
You know those frames gathering dust because you haven’t found the “perfect” photo to put in them? A professional family photoshoot can fill those frames with memories that’ll make you smile every time you walk past them. It’s like having your own mini art gallery, starring your family! I know it’s cheesy but I love looking at the framed art I put in my living room of my kids. Partly because one is crooked and I can’t get the damn one straight. But mostly because I love staring at them, seeing changes, and looking at my kids side by side. It’s my favorite wall in my house. But seriously someone come fix that photo frame for me.
Us photographers have a knack for finding the best lighting, angles, and backdrops. We can make your family look like the Kardashians if you want, even if someone has a bad hair day (thanks, humidity!). We can capture those candid moments you didn’t even realize were happening – like your toddler picking dandelions while your teenager pretends not to care but secretly loves it. I am a master at getting teenage smiles. They may hide it from you but I am the queen of cheesy jokes that can even embarrass the most serious teen. Ok so maybe I enlisted a dog for help for this one, but a win is a win, right?
Kids grow up faster than you can say “cheese.” Investing in family photography isn’t just about the present; it’s about preserving these fleeting moments for the future. One day, you’ll look back and appreciate how far you’ve come, how much your family has grown, and the fact that you finally stopped making those awkward forced smiles in selfies.
So, is family photography worth it? Absolutely! It’s about more than just pretty pictures. It’s about capturing memories, preserving laughter, and telling your family’s unique story. Plus, it’s a lot more fun than trying to wrangle everyone into position for a selfie. Say cheese! 📸
This my friends is less than a 4 year difference in time that I was able to photograph these boys for their parents. Seriously, I could not believe the growth as much as their mama could.
